As much as I like Gran, I'm happy that she's not on the cover with McHotpants. Atticus and his sword are more than enough for me (granted, I would like a bit more arm action...maybe a gratuitous below-the-belt shot...*sigh* never satisfied).
Urban Fantasy
320 pages, paperback
Expected publication: June 25, 2013
Publisher: Del Rey
For a two-thousand-year-old Druid, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt—Artemis and Diana—for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound Oberon are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is . . . run like hell.
Crashing the pantheon marathon is the Norse god Loki. Killing Atticus is the only loose end he needs to tie up before unleashing Ragnarok—AKA the Apocalypse. Atticus and Granuaile have to outfox the Olympians and contain the god of mischief if they want to go on living—and still have a world to live in.

Oh yes, cant wait for this one!
ReplyDeleteWoot!
DeleteI was not familiar with this series at all but I had to find out what your title was referencing! Way to catch the eye :)
ReplyDeleteLOL--Atticus lives up to the name, too!
DeleteI can't wait either. I am not buying the whole Gran and Atticus romance thing but I like them as friends. I am glad she isn't on the cover!
ReplyDeleteYeah, not the biggest fan of that. The lust part was cute, when he had to restrain himself but I'm not feeling the love now that they're "free". Anyways, Gran needs her own series, with Atticus as a frequent guest star.
DeleteI have books 4 and 5 waiting for me and I must read them SOON. (Or, at least, I suppose, before June, eh?)
ReplyDeleteGet on him...I mean it!!
DeleteBook 6 already?! How did it get so far behind so quickly Mary?! Do we know how many books are going to be in this series? Must. Read. Soon.
ReplyDeleteTime flies, huh? They released the first three within three months (one each month) and then the next three rather quickly, too. Adds up fast! I know he just signed a deal for three more but I don't know how much longer after that. So, yay!
DeleteOooh this must be a great series, Mary! Love how you brag on it so much!! :) Sounds sooo good!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is. If you like urban fantasy and hot druids, you definitely should check this out!
DeleteWow. Where have I been? I've never heard of this series before. And you're right about the cover. Sorry, am I drooling a little? :)

*hands you a hankie* It's okay. Atticus has that effect.
