So, here's a question for you: How do you make time for blogging?
Lately, my blogging time has been stuffed into minute little corners, splitches and splotches of moments I try to string together for a long enough time to put together a review. If I'm lucky, the reviews come quickly, flowing out through my finger tips like the water currently leaking out of my desperately-needing-a-washer-or-a-plumber-because-I'm-not-handy faucet.
And then there are the times I struggle over my reviews, the words coming like blood from a turnip. I know I'm to blame -- this is what happens when I let reviews pile up around me. Currently, I have nearly 20 books waiting for review. (Don't judge too harshly. It's better than it was -- I was up to 26 books last month!) I *know* I need to review books while they're fresh in my mind. That'll really help.
This summer, I was all set. Organization system in place. Calendar updated each week including highlighting titles when I'd sent reviews in to NetGalley or publishers or publicists or whatever. My schedule good to go: four days a week, weekends off.
And then it all went to hell when school started up again.
Now, I'm scrambling for time and not getting reviews posted...*sigh* Bad blogger, no cupcake! Lately, I've started trying to get all my posts done Sunday morning, so I have the afternoon to do school work (new job, curriculum writing, blah, blah, blah). But that can bleed into the afternoon and...well, that's just too much time.
I really enjoy blogging. I love talking about books and getting excited about new releases, awesome authors, and upcoming books. I'm truly not whining (well, maybe a little bit...). But I need about 30 hours in a day to do all I have to do! Eep!
Seriously, I'm curious. When do you blog? How long do you blog at one time? Do you review your books right after you read them or do you let them pile up into a leaning tower of books, like me?
